Ruskin Infant and Nursery School

Welcome!

Ruskin Infant School and Nursery is a three form entry Infant School for 2-7 year olds, situated in Wellingborough, Northamptonshire with around 320 children on roll. We provide wide and varied high quality learning experiences within a nurturing environment.

Teachers have high expectations and plan imaginative and stimulating lessons that motivate pupils to learn.  Children behave well and are encouraged to do so through various reward schemes.

We have adopted initiatives such as the ‘Massage in Schools Programme’ and ‘Relax Kids’ to develop pupils’ emotional and social skills so that they are ready to learn and make good progress in their lessons. Learning is enriched through a wide range of after-school and holiday activities which support pupils’ spiritual, moral, social and cultural development.

Our Ethos and ValuesDSC 6961

Children will enjoy their learning and value it for its own sake. The school is a respectful community in which differences are celebrated. The school celebrates British values.

We foster a nurturing learning environment where well being is a high priority.

Good behaviour is recognised and rewarded and underpins all that we want to achieve for our pupils.

The school is a friendly, safe and courteous place where adults and children are valued for themselves and treat each other with mutual kindness, respect and understanding.

The school is committed to its role in ensuring equality of opportunities for all.

The school values an atmosphere that enables staff and pupils to develop individually to their full potential by valuing their strengths and building on them.

The school respects, and will build upon, each child’s previous experience, it acknowledges parents as first educators, and will continue to value their involvement.
