The whole school celebrated World Book Day by dressing up in their pyjamas and having breakfast with their classes and teachers.

Each class voted for a book they wanted to read and explore during World Book Day.

Nursery 1 had a 'splishy splashy' day reading the Big Red Bath.

Nursery 2 read Talula's Atishoo and were sneazing all day!

Reception were visted by a dragon from There Is No Dragon In This Story.

1CH had high hopes for Grandad's Secret Giant.

1LS had an outer space visitor Beegu and they decided he could stay!

1ER found out about the shenanigans of Burglar Bill.

2HC began to read My Brother Is A Superhero and had dreams of saving the universe!

2TP joined Billy on her mission to defeat the beast in Billy And The Beast.

2AD ventured to Antarctica and met Geronimo the Penguin who wished he could fly!

World Book Day was also the launch of our huge reading challenge. We are taking part in the worldwide challenge set by Achievement for All to achieve 200 million minutes of reading! We will be encouraging children to read as much as they can throughout the school day and while they are at home. We will then add all of these minutes together and share them with schools and organisations across the world!

Make sure you log in your child's reading record if they read at home to help us achieve 200 million minutes of reading!
